Billy F. Husband

Billy Husband, age 90 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018. Services to honor Billy's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. Family and friends will gather from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service for a visitation at Dorman Funeral Home.

Billy was born in Anacoco, Louisiana on May 25, 1928 to Christine Hitt Husband and Amon Alexander Husband. He graduated from Starks High School and attended the University of Southern Louisiana. Billy served in the United States Army and was a corporal. He retired as a production foreman for Dupont after 35 years of service. Billy had been a long time member of North Orange Baptist Church and was a member of Madison Lodge #126, where he had served as a past master and secretary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amon and Christine Husband and his brother Robert Husband.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 36 years, Marion Pursley Husband of Orange, TX, children; Gary Husband and his wife Teresa of Orange, TX, Kristi Clark of Starks, LA, and Holly Ravell and her husband Charlie of Corpus Christi, TX, step children; Bartley Pursley and his wife Leslie of Nashville, TN, Alton Pursley and his wife Susan of Orange, TX and Katherine Duraso and her husband Richard of Winnie, TX. As well as fourteen grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, with another on the way and three great great grandchildren.
