Bruce Peveto Obituary

Bruce was born in Orange Texas, February 5, 1968, to Coleman & Linda Peveto. He went to be with the lord at his home, in Mauriceville, Texas, on July 25, 2020.

Bruce worked as a Union Sheet Metal Worker for Local 54 for 30+ years and was most recently working for the Newtron Group at the Goodyear tire rubber plant, in Beaumont.

In Bruce’s spare time, he loved spending time with his granddaughter, Briana Brooke Hand. He loved just sitting around shooting the bull and listening to the hounds run. When he wasn’t in the woods, he loved spending time with his family and raising his chickens.  Bruce was a Member of the Masonic lodge 1095, in Buna, Texas 

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Coleman Peveto; grandfather, Wayne Peveto; grandmother, Gertrude Peveto; and grandmother, Naomi Norwood.

Bruce survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Stacie Peveto, of Mauriceville; daughter, Shelby Hand and her husband, Logan, and their daughter Briana Brooke, of Mauriceville; son, Casey Peveto and his wife, Kleah, of Mauriceville; mother, Linda Peveto, of Mauriceville; brothers, Shane Peveto, of Jasper, and Kevin Peveto, and his wife, Amy, of Deer Park; sister, Shanna Carnline and her husband, Danny, of Deridder, LA; in-laws Raymond Lingefelt and wife, Donna, of Mauriceville;  sister-in-law, Angie Lingefelt; brother-in-law, Douglas Lingefelt and his wife, Melissa, of Mauriceville; and countless other relatives, friends, and hunting buddies. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2020, at the First Baptist Church of Mauriceville, with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Interment will follow, at Bland Cemetery. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Mauriceville. Arrangements are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Casey Peveto, Shane Peveto, Doug Lingefelt , Kevin Peveto, Logan Hand, Carey Cox, John Vance, Chad Jenkins, RC Picou and Jerry Griggs.
