CJ was a man of faith and always believed in helping others, even those who wronged him at times. He had a passion for the Pinehurst Community and was so excited to see become incorporated. CJ was later elected as the Mayor of Pinehurst and served for two terms. His servant’s heart never seemed to quit and he was elected as the County Commissioner Precinct 2, where he served from January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1998.
CJ also enjoyed being on his farm in Mauriceville, where he raised cattle and spent countless hours riding his tractor. Mowing was one of his favorite things to do and he was doing it till he became ill a few weeks ago. He was also a good Dad and Grandfather to his three boys and grandchildren. CJ impacted many people thought-out his long life and he will greatly missed.
