Born Tuesday, December 14, 1965, in Orange, TX to Joseph and Marie Bickham. Carmen spent most of her younger days traveling with her family. Once she met the love of her life, Carl, her travels took her to Hawaii and California. They were blessed with Gabriel and Kaitlin and the White family was complete. During her time on the shore Carmen trained endlessly and completed her first marathon. She always made it to Rockport for the Oyster Fest, where she competed and won multiple times. Settling down in Orange, Carmen accomplished her dream of completing her Education. She graduated from the Registered Nursing Program, Cum Laude at Lamar State College Orange. Carmen always encouraged those she met to achieve the next step and push a little harder - she never stopped learning. For many years she served surrounding communities with Hospice Care, touching many lives and providing loving care for all of her patients, and for the family long after. The last few months she was blessed to see her love and compassion mirrored through her loving daughter, Kaitlin, who never left her side.
Of all of her accomplishments, her greatest was to be Landon and Liam’s Gigi. She provided them the unconditional love that only a Gigi’s heart can give.
Go take a walk on the beach, run a marathon, take a ride on the Polar Express or simply sit on the back porch in good conversation with someone you love. It is in each of these experiences will she be greatly missed and the void of her presence will be felt the most.
Carmen was preceded in death by her sisters, Cynthia Marie and Sandra Lucille. Her love and memories will be ever present in the hearts of her Husband Carl White, Son Gabriel White, Daughter Kaitlin White, Grandsons Landon and Liam White and her constant companion, Leroy White. Sisters Teresa Franklin and husband Randy, and Sister Anna Bickham. Parents Joseph and Marie Bickham. Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, extended family and friends too numerous to list.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl White, Gabriel White, Landon White, Liam White, Joseph Bickham and Chris Flowers.
