Cloran Henderson Obituary

Cloran Joyce Henderson, age 85 of DeQuincy, Louisiana, was tired and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family in Bridge City, Texas. A graveside service to honor her life will be held 3:00 PM at Bigwoods Cemetery in Edgerly, Louisiana on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Family and friends will gather from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Cloran was born in Daisette, Texas on December 19, 1934 to Marie Cashet LeBlanc and Issac Joseph LeBlanc. Cloran had many accomplishments throughout her life. She worked as a nurse before attending cosmetology school and opened her own shop. Later she went back to obtain her instructors license and was able to teach cosmetology to others for next 30 years. She was a hair color specialist for Clariol. Cloran taught herself to play numerous instruments; she was a gourmet chef, seamstress and loved to paint landscapes and portraits. Cloran worked with her husband Robert, painting and finishing homes and later became a bookkeeper and office manager for a large company. Her most important and favorite job during her life, was raising her four children that she loved so much to be good faithful Christians. Cloran was an avid reader and enjoyed reading her bible daily. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting big and small game.

Cloran loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but her children have the comfort of knowing she is with God. We love you Mom and we are so very proud of who you were and all of your accomplishments in life.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Henderson, parents, Issac and Marie LeBlanc, two brothers; Curtis LeBlanc, Jesse LeBlanc and Frances LeBlanc, a sister Gladys Marie LeBlanc, son-in-law Ray Miller and daughter-in-laws Sheila Brewer and Carol Moore.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Brewer of Bridge City, TX and Jerry Moore of Orange, TX, daughters Gail Miller of Orange, TX and Glenda Lewis and her husband David of Bridge City, TX, eleven grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and thirty eight great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers honoring Cloran will be Larry LeBlanc, Aaron Seelye, Gavin Seelye, CJ Murray, Adam Henderson, Lee Seelye and Triston Murray.
