Curtis S Porter

Curtis S. Porter, age 92 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020. A private family graveside will be held at King Cemetery to lay Curtis to rest.

Curtis was born in Batson, Texas on November 26, 1927 to William and Fannie Porter. He proudly served in the United States Army and retired from Texas Gulf Sulphur Company. Curtis was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved his church family. He enjoyed gardening, playing dominos with his friends, fishing and camping.

He is preceded in death by his wife Louise Porter, daughter Linda Smith, parents William and Fannie Porter, brothers Clarence Porter and Carlton Porter and sister a Clarene Fregia.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Curtis C. Porter  (Rhonda) of Hardin, TX, daughters;  Brenda Cammereri of Hardin, TX, Connie Smith (Richard) of Dayton, TX, Janice Hill of Hardin, TX and Darla Porter (Bert David) of Hardin, TX, step-granddaughter Dina Carr of Port Neches, TX, sixteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. As well as, numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist  Church, PO Box 77 Deweyville, TX 77614 for their senior outreach program.
