Dabney Carr Harrison V

Dabney Carr Harrison V., age 66, of Crystal Beach, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Mauriceville, Texas.  Services to honor Dabney’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Wednesday June 15, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Dabney was born to Betty Jean and Dabney Carr Harrison IV in Lufkin, Texas on January 26, 1956.  At the tender age of eighteen Dabney joined the United States Air Force having many great adventures driving the Generals and other high ranking officers to their destinations.  The stories this kind and generous man could tell about his younger and military days kept his audience laughing.  Dabney’s love of building and construction lead him to open a well known lumber store in Crystal Beach. His son Kyle, at about the age of six, named the store “Seaside Lumber.”  With a kind and gentle spirit Dabney was the type of man that poured love and passion into the Crystal Beach community, the countless lives touched by his hands and will forever be missed. A passion Dabney found in life was golf, in fact on the day he was married he hit a hole in one when he was playing.  Always one to feel the wind on his face and sun on his back he spent countless hours manicuring the golf course.  He will forever be missed and embedded in the hearts of all that knew him. 

Those left to cherish Dabney’s memory is his mother Betty Jean Harrison, son, Dabney Kyle Harrison, brother, Damon Kyle Harrison and wife Kandace, sisters, Elizabeth Diane Hogg and husband Steven and DeLisa Summers Beals; Grandchild Logan Carr Harrison and nephew Keaton Ryan Jacobs.

 The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Dabney’s beloved golf course “The Ranch”,  P.O. Box 1462, Crystal Beach, TX, 77650.

Pallbearers to honor Dabney will be Keaton Jacobs, Damon Harrison, Dicky Garret, Rene McFarland, Robert Morris and Michael Comeaux.
