Daniel Bergeron

Daniel Bergeron, age 84 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas.  Services to honor Daniel will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange, Texas. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Daniel was born on September 15, 1937 in Leonville, Louisiana to parents Everiste and Augelie Bergeron. Daniel moved to Texas and lived in Orange for over fifty years where he retired as an owner/operator commercial shrimperman.  In true Cajun style his love for the outdoors was as endless as the stories of his sense of humor.  His quick wit, kind heart and his wealth of knowledge were legendary. What Daniel loved most of all was his family being all together, cooking wonderful meals with them, enjoying a good fire and making memories that will forever be cherished. Daniel had a long life and was able to share his love and friendship to many throughout his life.  He will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Everiste and Augelie Bergeron, seven brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Daniel “Danny” Bergeron Jr. of Orange, daughter, Allison Bergeron of Port Arthur, Texas stepson, Jerry Whaley of Chicago, Illinois, stepdaughter Deeann Smith and her husband Bubba of Montgomery, Louisiana, grandchildren, Ashlyn Bergeron, Faith Wilson and Grace Lynch, and close friend Norma Whisenhunt.

Pallbearers to honor Daniel will be, Jack Parrish, Kenny Bergeron, Shane Fontenot, Joe Marshall, L.J. Smith and Johnny Ramirez.
