Debra Faye Dyson

Debra Faye Dyson, age 69, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont.  A celebration of life, to honor Debra will be held privately by the family at a later date. Arrangements were made under the care of Dorman Funeral Home.

On September 23, 1953, Debra was born to Dorothy Vidrine and U.L. Guidry, in Orange, Texas. Debra was a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas, where she and her beloved husband of over 50 years, Chris Richard Dyson, Sr., raised their three children. She was a devout Christian woman, who attended In His Steps, in Orange, Texas. Debra loved the Lord with all of her heart and enjoyed the time she got to spend with her church family. The holidays were especially import to Debra, especially Christmas. Debra also enjoyed times where she could slow down and start reading a good book and the time she got to spend with her family, and church friends. She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friends, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Debra is preceded in death by her husband, Chris Richard Dyson, Sr.; and parents, U.L. and Dorothy Guidry.

Those left to cherish Debra’s memory are her children, Chris Richard Dyson, Jr. and wife, Ronda, of Mauriceville, Texas, Bobbie Joe Brister and fiancé, Sam Mahfouz, of Orange, Texas, and William Isiah “Ike” Dyson and his wife, Christy, of Lumberton, Texas; sisters, Kay Guidry, of Port Neches, Texas, and Evelyn Guidry Ferraro, of California; brothers, Barrett Dwayne Guidry, of Orange, Texas, and Mark Cavalier, Sr., of Erath, Louisiana; grandchildren, Breana Nicole Dyson, of Abbeville, Louisiana, Chris Richard Dyson, III, of Beaumont, Texas, Kelsey Danielle Dyson, of Orange, Texas, Gracilyn Marie Brister, of Orange, Texas, Christopher Legros, of Evadale, Texas, Justin Haley, of Bridge City, Texas, and Alec Haley, of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to Dr. Gwendolyn Lavalais, nursing staff, and Mark the Hospice Chaplain, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, for the special care they provided and for always taking a moment to pray with her when she asked them to. The family will always be grateful to each of you, for the love and compassion everyone showed to her.
