Delsie Quinn Obituary

Dee Quinn’s life on this earth ended on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was 74 years old, born on May 22, 1949, in Warren, Arkansas, to parents, Louise Calloway Baldwin and Roe C. Baldwin.

Dee grew up and attended school in Corning, Kansas. After moving to Orange, Texas, she became a member of the American Legion’s Ladies Auxiliary at Post 49. She later served her country in the United States Navy for 14 years and was an E6 at discharge. While in the Navy, she became a proud member of the American Legion. After returning to Orange, she went to work for Little Giant/TMRX as an accounting clerk, then moved to Bridge City, where she retired. At the time of her death, she was the Commander of Post 49.

Dee enjoyed ocean cruises, gardening, and playing pool. She also enjoyed spending time with her Legion family, and of course, her morning coffee with her cats. While she worked and volunteered throughout her life, holding numerous titles, none meant more to her than that of wife, mother, and Granny.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Steve Quinn, of Bridge City; son, Jim Zeferjahn and his wife, Tami, of Topeka, Kansas; daughters, Shannon Snyder and her husband, James, of Orangefield, Texas, and Rachel Quinn of Kanazawa, Japan; brothers, Jim and his wife, Clydia, of Keystone Heights, Florida, and Ronnie and his wife, Shirley, of Scotland Neck, North Carolina; sisters, Fronie Smith of Port Arthur, Texas, and Marsha Trahan and her husband, Ricky, of Johnson Bayou, Louisiana; grandchildren, Logan and Shelby Zeferjahn, Joe and Jerrod Livingston, Casi Berry, Tyler Martorillas, Blaine and McKenzie Mitchell, Skyler and Taylor Elmore; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Richard and Travis Gentry; daughter, Jennifer Odom; and grandsons, Travis Gentry, Jr., James Snyder, and Trevor Elmore.
