Dorothy Mae (Deville) Shaunesey

Dorothy Mae Shaunesey, age 78, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral Services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2:30 PM, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Dorothy was born on Sunday, October 8, 1939, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to parents, Elizabeth (Cain) and Huey Deville. She had been a lifetime resident of Orange, Texas after moving from Louisiana. Dorothy was a very loving, good hearted, woman who loved her family dearly. She loved to cross stitch, adult coloring books, her plants, her 3 Chihuahuas, and reading. She could read two or three books in just a day's time and did so quite often. Family time was her absolute favorite time in the whole world and she enjoyed every second of it. Dorothy's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life and she let them know that each chance she got to. Dorothy was a mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Leon Shaunesey, SR.; son, David Shaunesey, daughter, Terry Shaunesey; brother, Leroy Deville; grandson, Lucas Vines and parents, Elizabeth and Huey Deville.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Lisa Bandeau and husband Jay, Leon Shaunesey, JR. and Tina Shaunesey; brother, Johnny Deville; sisters, Adele LaFluer and Betty Deville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Green and husband Andrew, Brian Shaunesey and wife Candace, Stephanie Grey, Raymond Bandeau, Jay Bandeau and wife Leia, Jaelyn Bandeau, Keeton Bandeau, Amber Shaunesey and Nick Shaunesey; great-grandchildren, Bryant Green, Nolan Green, Landon Shaunesey, Kaden Shaunesey, Scarlett Shaunesey and many more.
