Edna Ruth Green

Edna Ruth Green, age 86, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas. Graveside services, under the care of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Trout Creek Cemetery; Bro. Damon Bickham officiating

Ruth was born on March 20, 1937, in Belgrade, Texas, to Edna (Cochran) and Amidee Woodard. She enjoyed traveling and spur of the moment road trips with Buddy, he would tell her let’s take a ride. She enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandkids and especially those great grands. She enjoyed attending Sunday church service at First Baptist and loved her church family. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and baking for her loved ones. She was a loving mom & Nannie, who will deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Ruth in death are her husband, Buddy; sister, Ruby; brothers: Jimmy, Gerry, Henry; parents, Edna and Amidee Woodard; and great-granddaughter, Madilyn Jolley.

Those left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her sons, Allen Green and wife, Laura, and Loren Green; grandchildren: Tabitha Smith and husband, Shawn, Ashley Green and Blake Buxton, Stephanie Jolley and husband, Austin, Kami Green and Kyle Ellis; great-grandchildren: Judd, Gauge, Kace, Kynsleigh, Lane, Madison, Madilyn, Avrie, and Aubrey; sister, Wanda Stanley and husband, Verble; brother, Steve Woodard; and numerous niece, nephews, and extended family.

Honoring Ruth as pallbearers are Shawn Smith, Austin Jolley, Kyle Ellis, Blake Buxton, Judd Tynes, and Gauge Tynes.
