Edward Dolan Frenzel was born on, April 29, 1941, in Orange Texas and passed from this life on July 23, 2021, at the age of 80. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 202 at, Faith United Methodist Church, in Orange, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Pastor Valerie Sansing will be officiating services. Interment will follow at, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Orange, Texas. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the, Faith United Methodist Church Building Fund. Services are under the direction of, Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Edward was born on Tuesday, April 29, 1941 to, Edward P. Frenzel and Sophia (Schultz) Frenzel. He was an outstanding football player for Stark High School and attended Kilgore Junior College on a football scholarship.
After 40 years, Edward retired from Firestone/Bridgestone as a maintenance foreman. During that time, he served terms as president of the OCAW Local union, as well as on the board for the Firestone Credit Union. He also owned Frenzel's Auto Repair for 17 years and helped many people. His interests centered on his family, following his children in the LCM Band and grandchildren playing softball and baseball. He was a proud member of, Faith United Methodist Church in Orange, Texas.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Audrey Frenzel; daughter, Dr. Donna Frenzel Chaparro and husband Luis of Los Angeles, CA.; son, Edward Frenzel and wife Kimberly of Orange; Brother, David Frenzel and wife Hildy of Orange; Six grandchildren, Brianna, Bailey, Brice and Eden Frenzel of Orange and twins Joseph and Amelia Chaparro of Los Angeles, CA.
