Edward Wynne Hardin, age 68 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away at his home on Monday, January 20, 2020. Services to honor Wynne’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Fortenberry officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Deweyville Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for a visitation on Friday at Dorman Funeral Home.
Wynne was born in Orange, Texas on October 15, 1951 to Ethel Tasco Hardin and Lloyd Hardin. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. Before becoming disabled, Wynne worked with the City of Orange as an electrician. He was always ready for a good time with family and friends and enjoyed dancing. Wynne was an avid Astros baseball fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Ethel Hardin, his grandfather Sam Hardin and his brother Billy Hardin and sisters Catherine Hogan and Patricia Bebe.
Survivors include his daughter Tammie Marshall and her husband Frankie of West Orange, TX, step-son James Sargent of Devils Pocket, TX, step-daughter Shannon Benoit, brother JR Hardin and his wife Janice of Deweyville, TX, sister Margaret Waldrep and her husband Mike of Deweyville, TX, grandchildren Justin Marshall of Denver, CO, Cody Marshall and Natalie of West Orange, TX and his precious great granddaughter that he adored Preslee Marshall. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special, “Thank You” to Piney Woods and Wanda David with the VA.
Pallbearers honoring Wynne will be Cody Marshall, John Boy Hardin, TJ Hardin, Brandon Hardin, Clay Waldrep, Brendon Waldrep, Lane Totino, Jamie Sargent and Lewis Hogan.
