Eleanor Jeannie (Connett) Welch

Eleanor Jeannie Welch, 88, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at her home in Orange, Texas. Graveside service to honor Eleanor will be held will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, 5432 Old Hwy 90 Orange Texas 77632; Pastor Newly Hunt will be officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, at Dorman Funeral Home.

Eleanor was born on July 8, 1935, to Racheal Lucilla (Slaten) and Elmer Lasco Connett, in Richmond, Arkansas. 

Preceding Eleanor in death is her Father, Elmer Connett & Wife, Vesta; Mother, Racheal Maxy & Husband, Warren; one infant son Jimmy Turner and one infant daughter, Linde Turner; one Grandson, T-Dusty Turner; two sisters; and one brother. 

Those left to cherish Eleanor’s memory are Husband, Clyde Lee Welch, of Orange; Daughter, Connie Savoy & Husband, Scotty, of Orange; Son, Elmer (Dusty) Turner & wife, Maria, of Orange; Eight Grandchildren, twenty six Great-grandchildren, and thirty Great-Great-Grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members; Two sisters, Carolyn Quillen, of Rodessa, LA, and Debbie Bounds, from Shreveport LA. 

Honoring Eleanor as pallbearers are Jarrett Tarver, Greg Watkins, Dyson Tarver, Hunter Edgerton, Tyler Dixon, and Jordan Dixon.
