Gary Earle Hoffpauir

Gary Earle Hoffpauir, age 59 of Vidor, Texas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. A memorial service to honor Gary’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in Vidor, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dorman Funeral Home.

Gary was born in Orange, Texas on April 18, 1962 to parents Alta Louis Burke Hoffpauir and Larry Earle Hoffpauir. He enjoyed hunting and fishing every chance he got. Gary was a truck driver for many years and was known by everyone as “Violation” on the cb. He never met a stranger and always made time; even when he didn’t have it, to visit with everyone. Gary will be remember for his humor, wonderful character and the ability to make everyone smile and laugh. He also believed in and loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Earle Hoffpauir, grandparents, Pete and Ol Cat Hoffpauir and his uncle Gene Hoffpauir.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Alta Trahan of Vidor, TX, four children; Craig Hoffpauir of Mauriceville, TX, Chad Hoffpauir of San Angelo, TX, Tasha Hoffpauir of Mauriceville, TX and Cheyenne Hoffpauir of Vidor, TX, three brothers, Randy Hoffpauir of Alvin, TX, Brian Hoffpauir and his wife Cindy of Vidor, TX and Todd Hoffpauir and his wife Kristine of Colorado Springs, CO, eight grandchildren; Lexus, Jaliyah, Jaylin, Dillon, Kason, Kylie, Harper and Cooper and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
