Gary Lynn Owens

Gary Owens, age 73, of Orange, TX passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  A service honoring his life will be held at Dorman’s Funeral Home in Orange, TX, on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 10:00 Am until 12:00 AM.

Gary was born Friday, September 23, 1949, in Orange, TX, to parents Ouida Merle Owens. Gary met the love of his life on a water skiing trip and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past June. He enjoyed music and attending concerts, watching old western movies, and in his youth he enjoyed riding motorcycles and water sports. Gary will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Gary is preceded in death by his mother Ouida Owens of Orange, TX; his sister Anne Cunningham of Orange, TX; and nephew Randy Owens of Orange, TX.

Gary is survived by his wife, Linda Owens of Orange, TX; his daughter Brooke Andrade, her husband Scott, and his granddaughter Emma of Cypress, TX; and his daughter Becky Book, her husband Jeff, and granddaughters Gracie and Jamie of Orange, TX; siblings Bo Owens, Johnny Owens, Gayle Arceneaux, and Pat Hughes; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers for Gary will be Bo Owens, Johnny Owens, Jeff Book, Scott Andrade, Richard Koger, Paul Hughes and Mark Hughes.
