Gloria Joan (Trahan) Briggs

Gloria Joan Briggs, age 65 of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 24, 2021. A memorial service to honor Gloria’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home with Brother Aaron Leger officiating. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Gloria was born on October 22, 1955 to Evelyn Darlene Seago Trahan and Luther Trahan in Orange, Texas. The family had five children and they were all very close. Gloria was a lifelong resident of Orange and attended LCM schools. She was the true matriarch of her family and took great pride in planning family gatherings. Gloria dearly loved family BBQs and slumber parties with her grandchildren. She loved playing cards with her sisters and shooting pool with her boys, but most of all she just enjoyed being with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Trahan and Evelyn Darlene Klinkhammer and brother, James Michael Trahan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Brandon Trahan  and his wife Tammy of Orange, TX, Jason Briggs and his wife Susan of Bridge City, TX, Christopher Briggs and his wife Tiffany of Bridge City, TX, Tiffany Briggs of Orangefield, TX, Mindy Briggs of Orange, TX and Robbie Salvail and her husband Troy of Canada, sisters; Evelyn Busby and her husband James of Orange, TX, Karen Sanders of Orange, TX, and Lorrie Trantham and her husband Bobby of Orange, TX, sister-in-law Cindy Trahan of Vinton, LA, grandchildren; Jacob Trahan, Taylor Trahan, Bryce Trahan, Jaycee Trahan, Corbin Carr, Justin Carr, Haley Holt, Lane Ardoin, Megan Ardoin, Alex Nichols, Tyler Nichols, Addison Briggs, Damian Schubarth, Elizabeth Hunter and Morgan Mcphail, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
