Hilda “Helda” was born on Sunday, February 14, 1954, in Jasper, Texas to Marie Anna Barthol (Keen), later to be adopted by grandparents Nathan Oden Keen and Gracie Busby Barthol Keen. Hilda was a lifelong resident of Orange County in the Orangefield area, later to resided in Groves, Texas for the past three years. She loved spending quality time with her family, every chance that life allowed. Shopping was one of her absolute favorite activities, and she did it well enough to have been considered a wonderful personal shopper. Shopping for birthdays, baby showers, Christmas, and “gifts of love” was always top of the list when it came to things to shop for. She was a very creative craft maker, and everyone who knew that looked to her to help them welcome their new baby with her custom hospital door wreaths. She was also known for hosting the most elaborate baby showers. Hilda loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as they were the light of her life. Hilda may have been small in stature, but she was a feisty lady with the courage of giants, and a true heart of gold. Hilda would go out of her way for others, and would often go without herself rather than see someone in need. Her dogs, Happy Feet and Lady were her constant shadow, and she absolutely adored them. Hilda was a prayer warrior. She loved and believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whole heartedly, prayed for others, and instilled the Word of God to all those she loved. Above her joy of shopping and crafting, Hilda enjoyed studying the Bible with her dear friend Marie Olsen, and singing songs of praise and worship. Her husband, Vincent, was the love of her life and her confidant. The couple married on March 9, 1974 and shared 46 blissful years of marriage. He loved to make things for her every chance that he got, such as wooden bookshelves, signs and things needed to help her with her passion of crafting. Vincent absolutely adored his wife and would literally do anything to make her happy.

Hilda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, and friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Hilda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Vincent John Cantone; children, Robert Harrison Clark, Jr., Jason Dwight Clark and wife Michelle; Amanda Clark Howard and husband Curtis; brothers Kenneth Keen Sr., and Clayton Creader; sisters: Brenda Spradlin Palmer, Balinda Creader Powell, Janice Gary, Selena Burns, and Bernice Gary Welch; close cousin, Vickie Leath; grandchildren, Tyson Clark, Jenny Freeman Garza and husband Blas, Chris Clark and wife Angela, Cody Freeman, Shelby Clark and wife Brittany , Ashlea Clark, Casey Clark, Angela Gracee Freeman, Korey Clark, Patsy Freeman, Dillon Clark, Zach Clark, Hunter Lisenby, Charity Freeman, Blake Clark, Alison Clark Borel and husband Austin, Taylor Clark and Tori Clark, as well as 17 great grandchildren.
