Jeri Lynnette Jorgenson, age 70, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at her home, surrounded by family. A memorial service, to celebrate her life, will be held at 12:00 PM, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Dorman Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service, for visitation.
Jeri was born March 10, 1949, to Marilyn Groves Jorgenson and Jerry Lee Jorgenson. She worked for Martin Dies Law Firm, for 20 years, in Orange, Texas. Jeri requested her body to be donated to science. As per her wishes, she is at University of Texas Health and Science Center. She was very adamant about this, after her history of being a M.D. Anderson Cancer Center survivor and overcoming her battle with colon cancer, 14 years ago. Jeri was known as “Maw Maw” for the last 21 years. She could always be found with her grandchildren laughing, hugging, giving them “neck sugars”, and her undivided attention. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She would say herself, first and foremost, I am a Maw Maw.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Jorgenson, and her grandparents, Addie Bell Groves and Henry Lee Groves.
She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Groves Deshotel, and her children, Randall Frederic and his wife, Vanessa, Dusty Doiron, Lacy Branson and her husband, Levi. Also, her brother, Karl Jorgenson, and sisters, Soni Jorgenson Wood and Mari Jorgenson Berry, along with their spouses. Her grandchildren, Mason Frederic, Gracie Frederic, Addie Branson, Ruby Branson, Sadie Branson, Seth Doiron, Dillon Doiron, Brooklyn Doiron, Brodie Doiron, Kellie France, Ayden Marrs, Luke Farley, and Amber Chandler. The family would like to thank Ryan Anderson and his staff at Best Care Hospice for the loving care provided to our Maw Maw.
