Jerome "JD" Dean Jones, Sr.

Jerome "JD" Dean Jones, Sr., age 83 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Services to honor JD's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sinclair Oubre officiating. Interment will immediately follow at The Cemetery.  Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.

JD was born in Port Arthur, Texas on July 24, 1935. He had been a long time member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. JD retired from Orange County in the maintenance department. He had a passion for raising quail and loved spending time with his family. JD was always singing and enjoyed singing karaoke.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard T. and Maggie Guidry McFaddin, Sr. and a brother Tommy McFaddin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Jackie Jones, sons Mark Jones and his wife Kathy of Mauriceville, TX and Jerome "Romey" D. Jones, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Mauriceville, TX, daughter Tina Neely of Mauriceville, TX and sister Shirley Trahan of Orange, TX. Two sister-in-laws, Sylvia Thomas and Sherry Edwards. Four grandchildren; Ryan Clifton Jones, Brent Allen Jones , Randall Thomas Jones and Ashleigh Jones Garza and three great grandchildren; Rebecka Jones, Allen Jones and Michael Garza.

Pallbearers to honor JD will be Ryan Jones, Brent Jones, Randall Jones, Adam Garza, Jeremy Trahan and Thomas McCroskey.
