Jo Nell Laroue, age 85 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Services to honor her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2019 at First Pentecostal Church with Pastor Gary Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Jo Nell was born in Hemphill, Texas on December 9, 1933 to Bertie Fullen Clark and Easuel Clark. She and her husband Cecil had been members of the First Pentecostal Church for over 60 years. Jo Nell was a homemaker and was an avid reader. She loved to walk and her favorite was running the bleachers at the high school stadium.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Michael Laroue and Steve Allen Laroue, four brothers; Easuel Clark, Jr., H.K. Clark, Doil Clark and Bill Clark and three sisters; Mozelle Hilyer, Bobbie Hankins, and Lavern Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Joseph Cecil LaRoue and two daughters, Sondra Laroue Morgan and her husband Lesley of Deweyville, TX and Donna Granger and her husband Wayne of Port Arthur, TX, one sister Reba Barnett of Pineland, TX, four grandchildren; Chris Laroue, Sherie Ardoin, Joleena West and Jamie Barnett and six great grandchildren; Stevie West, Xander West, Sawyer West, Raylee West, Whitley West and Kylah Barker.
Pallbearers will be Richard Barnett, Kirk Ardoin, Phillip Williams, David Huerta, Phillip Clark, Hiram Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Xander West, Sawyer West, Chris Laroue and Judah Huerta.
