Joe Holland, Jr. Obituary

Joe Middleton Holland, JR, age 91 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 in Orange, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Joe was born on January 22, 1929, in Port Arthur, Texas to parents, Mollie and Joe Holland. He was a 1948 graduate of Thomas Jefferson high school. After high school, he and his best friend decided to attend college at Texas A&M University, where Joe graduated with an Engineering Degree. Soon after earning his degree, he enlisted with the United States Army, where he served two years during the Korean War. After being discharged, he began working with Spencer Chemical, which later became Gulf Oil and then Chevron, in which he retired. Joe married the love of his life in 1956, Mary Jewel (Myers). The couple made a wonderful life together with their sons Brent, Craig and Scott.

Joe was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

 Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Holland; sons, Brent Holland of San Antonio, TX, Craig Holland of Galveston, TX and Scott Holland of Bridge City, TX.; Grandsons, Ryan, Christian and Tanner; Granddaughters Kristina and Alexandria, as well as two very precious great granddaughters, Hazel Ann and Alexandria.
