John A. Klinkhammer, III, age 87 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. Services to honor John’s life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until service time. Interment will follow at, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas. Services are under the direction of, Dorman Funeral Home.
John was born in Port Arthur, Texas on August 31, 1933 to John A. Klinkhammer, Jr. & Audrey Lilian Klinkhammer. He was a 1953 graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas. After graduation he joined the Marine Corp until 1956. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, China Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After his time in the service, he attended Lamar University and started Klinkhammer Surveying Company, until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John A. Klinkhammer, Jr. and Audrey Lillian Klinkhammer; His first wife of 42 years, Maxine Klinkhammer; his latest wife of 21 years, Darlene Klinkhammer; infant daughter, Melissa Klinkhammer, and grandson, Jeremiah Klinkhammer; Brothers, Gayle Page (Skeet), as well as, Herman Klinkhammer (Bolo).
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, John A. Klinkhammer IV and wife Mary Lou of Orange, Texas; daughter Andrea Silveira and husband Robbie, Orange, Texas; grandchildren, John Klinkhammer V (Jake), Joshua Klinkhammer, Juliann Klinkhammer, Hannah Silveira, Holly Silveira, and Hunter Silveira; brother, Carl Klinkhammer; sisters, Madeline Johnson (Bell), Kristine Klinkhammer (Twinkle), Genie Edgerly and Nancy East; stepchildren, Evelyn Busby and husband James, Orange, Texas, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
