Lenna was born in Wills Point, Texas on Sunday, September 10, 1933 to Mildred (Farmer) and Mark Oddest Rushing. She was longtime resident of Orange, Texas for 70 years, where she was known and loved by many. She met the love of her life when she came to know, Carl Trussell, Sr. The couple experienced love at first sight, to say the least. They shared many years of marriage and made a lifetime of memories together with their children. Lenna was everybody’s “Granny”, whether you were her actual family or not. She absolutely loved family time and family reunions. She was a fabulous cook and could make the very best holiday dressing. Although she did not eat them herself, she was also very good at cooking fresh fried squirrel for her husband and son, Carl Jr. You could often find her listening to music and singing along with the Eagles, all the way back to the days of 8-tracks. You could also often find her watching the Dallas Cowboys play on television, as she was truly a “DIEHARD FAN”! She attended about 10 Cowboys football games live, in person and absolutely LOVED every single second of it. Lenna was a really big fan of, “The King”, George Strait, as well and was able to attend his concert at the, 2019 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Lenna was a Christian lady and a very proud member of, Calvary Baptist Church, in Deweyville, Texas. Lenna was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Lenna is preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Guy Trussell, Sr.; parents, Mark and Mildred Rushing; daughters, JoAnna Solly Trussell and Mary Guillory; brother, Paul Rushing and wife Doreen; daughter-in-law, Dana Trussell; niece, Terry Rushing, as well as her grandson, Andrew Keith Guillory.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Carl Trussell, Jr. and Marvin Trussell; brother, Harry Rushing and wife Aggie; grandchildren, Jaimee Trussell, Angela Williams, Michelle Taylor, Mindy Moody, Christopher Guillory, Brandi Zirlott and Bob Moody; great grandchildren, Hunter Hooks, Gage Trussell, Carli Johnson, M.J. Herrin, Deuce Moody, Brett Zirlott, Brodie Guillory, Carla Jo Tompkins, Kaylee Zirlott, Daniel Cheatwood, Lexi Cheatwood and Brynlee Williams; great-great grandchildren, Raylon Tompkins and Priscilla Tompkins; her very best friends; Jewel Mazza, Linda Trahan and Candice McCrae, as well as a host of family and friends.
