Linda “Maudine” Kelley, 72, a longtime resident of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Maudine as she was known by all was born on May 9, 1951 in Houston Texas. She was a teacher for many years at various schools in the Golden Triangle area before her retirement. In her younger years, she enjoyed being on the water boating and fishing whenever possible. She was also known for her passion for tending plants and flowers in her yard as well as helping her friends with theirs. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. In her spare time she was an avid reader, enjoyed crafting and jigsaw puzzles as well as playing cards and board games.
Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy Chandler and brother Glenn Hoyt Chandler.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Stephen Kelley, daughter Crystal Wickersham of Metairie, Louisiana as well as brother Kenneth Chandler of Orange, Texas various nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.
Per her wishes, cremation will be performed by Dorman Funeral Home, in Orange, Texas.
