Lucie Lorraine Rucker (née Turner), 69, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on April 6, 2024. She was born on May 20, 1954, in Corpus Christi, TX.
Lucie was a woman of few words, known for her sweet demeanor, and was loved by many. She had a successful career working in the deli and bakery at various Market Baskets in the area, retiring in 2022.
She is survived by her brothers Steven Turner, Jay Cotten, and Jerry Cotten. Lucie is also survived by her children: Anthony L. Gray Jr. (spouse Keturah Gray), Christopher L. Gray, Lucie M. Cox (spouse Bradley Cox), James C. Rucker (spouse Laticia Rucker), and Phelecia L. Rucker. Her grandchildren are as follows: Josh, McKenzie, Keighley, William, Corbin, Talon, Winslet, Amaranth, Murphy, Anthony, Zachary, Gaebriel, Fiona, Cameron, Conner, Colin, Caleb, Kadyn, Jordyn, Gracie, Colt, Hayleigh, Rayleigh, Michael and Xevrik. She may not have been blessed to meet many of them, but she knew who they all were and was proud of all of their accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl M. Turner and Lucie L. Cotten.
Lucie cherished spending time with grandchildren and watching reruns of Golden Girls.
She was a Lutheran but was not currently attending any church.
The family has chosen not to have a memorial service, but they welcome any kind words. Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, TX, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
