Maggie Jean McMillian, 90, of Deweyville Texas, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020, in Orange, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Dorman Funeral Home; Bro . John Fortenberry officiating. Interment will immediately follow services, at Deweyville Cemetery. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, on Monday, October 12, 2020, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Maggie was born in Deweyville, Texas, on February 7, 1930, to Almeda (Joiner) and Joseph Dovie Richards. Maggie was a loving wife to her husband, Tony Howard McMillian, and mother to her son, Charles Howard McMillian. As a family, Maggie enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a devout Christian woman, who faithfully read her bible and was proud to say that she had read it from cover to cover, three times.
Preceding Maggie in death are her husband, Tony McMillian; parents, Joseph and Almeda Richards; and brother, Jerry Wynne Richards.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Charles Howard “Chuck” McMillian and his wife, Kary McMillian; three grandchildren, Tracy Taylor, Melissa Rose, and Matthew McMillian; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou “Pie” Hufstetler; her niece, Misty Hufstetler, who she thought of as her daughter; and numerous members of extended family.
Honoring Maggie as pallbearers are Mark Richards, Charlie Richards, Cade Richards, Glen Richard, Logan Richard, and Boyd Smith.
