Margaret "Louise" Savoy, age 77 of Orange, Texas, was called home, by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. She was surrounded by love, prayers and all of her family in her last days, celebrating her life. Dorman Funeral Home is honoring Louise’s wishes to be cremated.
Louise was born in Jena, Louisiana on April 25, 1943 to Elsie Marie Girlinghouse Young and Walton Elroy Young, Sr. She worked for 44 years as bank teller in the SETX area and finally retired from Orange Savings Bank. During her younger years, she was a faithful member of Cove Baptist church, she was the roller skating queen, was a member of a bowling league and fishing partner to her husband, Bruce. Louise attended Winfree Baptist Church before her health started to decline. She loved to spend time with her family and making sure all of her precious grandchildren had cookies. The thing that Louise loved most of all was having a house full of people and laughter. Her love and contagious smile will live on in so many hearts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walton and Elsie Young, and a brother, Walton “Bubba” Young.
Those left to remember her smile and love are her husband and best friend, Bruce Savoy of Orange, TX, children; Shelley Ledoux and her husband, Michael of Orangefield, TX, Bruce Mosier II of Mauriceville, TX and Brien Savoy of Orange, TX; brother, Rodney Young and his wife Cindy of Orange, TX, three sisters, Linda Crump and her husband Herschel of Boyd, TX, Ruth Chesson of Orange, TX and Sharon Smith and her husband Jimmy of Kirbyville, TX, seven grandchildren; Megan Mosier, Rodney Mosier, Rian Savoy, Dustin Savoy, Ericka Mosier, Ashley Robinson and Cody Douget; and twelve great-grandchildren.
