Marion Jeanene Pursley

Marion Jeanene Pursley, age 86, of Winnie, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Winnie, Texas.  A memorial service, to honor Marion, will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home; Chaplain Steve Kidwell officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will take place, following services. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Marion Pursley, 86 years old, born on December 15, 1936. Marion loved with her whole heart and would do anything for family.  She was a devoted Catholic and treasured her relationship with The Holy Mother Mary and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her life was spent as a wonderful mother and partner. Marion loved working on the farm surrounded by her horses and various other pets. She loved her animals and used great care with them. Marion was tiny and fierce person with a heart of gold. May you walk in Heaven with God and watch over those left behind, until we meet again. We will remember her forever.

Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Freeman Vest and Monita Garmeson; Younger sister, Ruth Clement; first husband, Edgar Pursley, Jr; second husband, Billy Husband; son, Alton Pursley and daughter-in-law, Susan Pursley, and grandson, Justin Duraso.

Marion is survived by her many loving family members: daughter, Katherine Duraso and husband, Richard Duraso, Sr; son, Bartley Pursley and wife, Leslie Pursley; son, Charles Pursley and wife, Kitty Pursley; niece, Linda Clement Waguespack; Grandchildren, Christina Cook and husband, Ronald Cook; Jeanene Ellis and partner, James Asher, Blake Pursley,  Katlynn King and husband, Mathew King, Robert Pursley and wife, Selinda Pursley, Julie Malone and husband, Rodney Malone, Joshua Pursley and wife, Brandy Pursley, Star Laurent, Bryce Laurent, Makala Laurent, Lane Laurent, Leslie Laurent, Patrick Duraso, Walter Duraso .
