Marshall Wayne "Sonny" Poole, Sr.

Marshall Wayne “Sonny” Poole, Sr. – 86 of Vidor, TX, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Graveside services to honor Marshall will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Miller Cemetery Annex, in Starks, LA.

Born to Jim Poole and Grace Buxton Poole on August 9, 1936 in Starks, LA.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and United States Army.  He was a retiree of Mobil Oil Refinery with over 25 years of employment. He loved working in his vegetable garden in his spare time.           

Marshall was preceding in death by his parents. Brothers Robert “Bobby” Poole, Bruce Poole, Phillip “Dook” Poole and Curtis “Curt” Poole and sister Agnes Hudson and 2 great grandchildren.

Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Mary Ann Poole.  Sons Wayne Poole (Kelly) of Orange, TX, James Poole (Kelly) of Austin, TX and Randy Poole (Sherry) of Vidor, TX. Daughters Rhonda Hatcher (Greg) of Beaumont, TX and Terri Poole of Vidor, TX. Sisters Verble Kingston of New Boston, TX and Verna “Billie” Clanton of Collierville, TN. Brothers Marvin Poole and Larry Poole of Starks, LA. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Honoring Marshall as Pallbearers will be his grandsons Brandon Poole, Trevor Hatcher, Robbie Hanks, Rylan Poole, Reese Poole and nephews Ronnie Poole and Steven Poole.
