Marvin Cordell Cooper

Marvin Cordell Cooper Sr, age 78, of Orange, TX, passed away on August 3rd, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.  Services to honor Marvin will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home.  Prior to the service, family and friends will hold visitation from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

Marvin was born on October 25, 1944, Orange Texas, to parents Marvin Lee Cooper and Lena Mae Harper.  Our father worked in 3 counties, Hill County, Montgomery County and Orange County as a sheriff deputy and criminal investigator. He enjoyed barbequing with friends and family.  Marvin also loved playing his guitar and listening to music. Music was the melody to his heart. He played in a band by the name Bobby and the Chandeliers. He loved to be a jokester and he LOVED going to the casino.

Preceding Marvin in death is his father, Marvin Lee Cooper and mother, Lena Mae Harper; grandparents and Son Marvin Cordell Cooper  and daughter Carlie Renee Cooper.

Marvin is survived by his sister Carolyn Frederick and husband Larry; daughter’s, Kimberly Kay Pirtle, Lisa Gilbert and husband Trey, Deanna Welch and husband Ray; Niece, Vickie Lawerence and husband Jimmy; grandkids ,Alisha Eastwood and husband John, Eric Pirtle and wife Felisha, Kristan Herin and husband Jesse, Cory McGee and wife Jennifer, Carlie Evans, Brittany Fowler, Tiffany Cooper, Stephany Cooper; 22 Great Kids and many dear friends.

Honoring Marvin as pallbearers are Trey Gilbert, Cory McGee and Jesse Herin.

Dad, you will be forever missed.
