Marvin Stroud Obituary

Marvin Dwight Stroud, 73, long time resident of Orange, Tx, passed away in his home on July 23rd, 2020. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday July 29, 2020 from 4PM until 6PM. Graveside services and Interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on Thursday July 30, 2020 at 11AM.

Marvin Stroud was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on Sunday November 10, 1946 to parents Juanita (Raulston) and Marvin Edward Stroud. Mr. Stroud had a love for music, motorcycles, and travel that developed in his youth. This created a fun loving spirit within him. Marvin was drafted during the Vietnam War where he served 2 years in the U.S. Army. After his military service he returned home to El Paso, Texas to start his career and family. He retired after a 20 year career with the county of El Paso, Texas where he met his best friend and wife of 32 years, Donna Garber.

Marvin D. Stroud will be remembered as a humorous man who greatly valued spending time with his family. He shared love and laughter with pranks, dirt bike riding, story telling, music, and family time.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Marvin E. Stroud and Juanita Metlock; his sister Dorothy Joetta Tuten, and his brother Prentice Wilson Stokes.

Left to treasure his memory, his wife Donna; children Curtis, Russell, Angelica, and James; grandchildren Heather and husband Rodney, Christopher, Kyle, Ryan, Amber, Erica, and Katie; and great grandson, Wyatt.
