Mary Elizabeth (Keel) Jones

Mary Elizabeth Keel Jones, age 96 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Services to honor Mary will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. Gary McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange, Texas. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Mary was born on May 29, 1925 in Oxford, Mississippi to parents Daisy Belle Word Keel and Percy Brooks Keel. Mary was a member of First Christian Church and worked for many years at Wyatt’s Cafeteria in Orange. She enjoyed making calendars, sewing and fishing. Mary also loved painting by numbers and her beautiful painting of the Last Super. But, what Mary loved most of all was her family all together and cooking wonderful meals for them. Mary had a long life and was able to share her love and friendship to many throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde L. Jones, Jr. son Charles Brooks Jones, parents, Percy and Daisy Keel and  siblings; Juanita Keel Baker, Edith Ann Keel Holland, Ralph Keel and Cecil Keel.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Clyde L. Jones III and his wife Sandra of Mauriceville, TX and Charlotte Dragulski and her husband David of Orange, TX, grandchildren; Melinda Prince, Kevin Jones, Timothy Dragulski, Chris Jones, Curlis Jones, Eric Jones and Clyde Jones, IV, great grandchildren; Anthony Prince, James Jones, Rebecca Jones, Denise Jones, Shelby Jones, Cameron Jones, Chloe Stanley and Charlea Jones, great-great grandchildren; Jaxson Monasco, Emmalynn Jones and Conner Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

Pallbearers to honor Mary will be, Eric Jones, Curlis Jones, Clyde Jones III, Chris Jones, Kenneth Dugas and James Jones.
