Opal Adalena (Totten) Tarver

Opal Adalena Tarver, age 77, of Orange, Texas, passed from this life on Thursday, November 26, 2020.Graveside services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange, Texas.

Adalena was born in Beaumont, Texas on Tuesday, January 5, 1943, to parents, Opal Allois (Massey) and Edwin Cameron Totten. Adalena was a lifetime resident of Orange, Texas, where she was known and loved by many. Adalena was a very hard worker who always made sure her family had what they needed and most everything that they wanted. Taking care of her loving children and tending to her yard were always at the very top of her priority list. She also enjoyed playing the guitar that she taught herself to play, as well as, playing games of pool at the VFW Auxiliary Post 2775 in Orange, where she was a lifetime member.

Adalena was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother and wonderful friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Carl Edwin Tarver and wife Tonya, Jerrilyn Jeanett Tarver Burns and husband Darriel, as well as, Aaron Todd Tarver, grandchildren; Jarrett, Jessica, Christopher, Ashlyn, Johnathan and Cameron, 13 great-grandchildren & a host of family and friends. 

Adalena is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Opal Totten, brother Glenn Darwin Totten, as well as, sister, Eunice Jeanett Shanks.

In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post 2775 in Orange, Texas.
