Pamela Raughton-Hendon Obituary

Pamela Sue Raughton-Hendon, better known as Pam, of Orange Texas, passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 57. She was born on January 7, 1967, in Port Arthur, Texas. Pam was an empathetic and caring individual, known for her self-sacrifice, despite struggling with depression and physical limitations. She had a stubborn yet silly and nerdy personality, and had a deep love of music.

Pam proudly served her country as member of the United States Army. Apart from her military service, Pam found joy in watching her oldest son play video games, reading fantasy books, engaging in educational entertainment such as Jeopardy, and playing computer games.

Preceding Pam in death is her sweet baby who was born sleeping, Robert Raughton; late husband, John Raughton, Jr., brother, Patrick Wells; father, Clarence Wells; grandparents, Maurice and Dorceil LaComb; aunt, Delores O’Bryan; and uncle, Paul O’Bryan.

Those who will cherish Pam’s memory most are her husband, Danial Hendon; son, Henry Wells; daughter, Jennifer Lucio; son, Matthew Raughton and wife, Kelly Raughton; grandchildren, Malakai Garltic, Davion Garltic, Freddie T. Washington, and Navaeh Washington; mother, Gloria Wells; sister, Roylene Raza; nieces, Sagan Kirksey, D'Ann Perry, and Amanda Wells; 4 great-nephews; 2 great-nieces; and numerous members of extended family, and friends. Pam loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
