Patrick Murray Obituary

Patrick ‘Pat’ Murray was born on October 1, 1957 to John C. Murray and Shirley (Harman) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2021 in Jasper, Texas. Graveside services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at, Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, Texas, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

Pat grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, eventually returning to Carlsbad, New Mexico where he met his wife of 34 years, Diane. He was a volunteer firefighter in Tonopah, Nevada for 10 years and a football coach for 15 years. He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He was an avid UNLV basketball and football fan, as well as a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He worked for the Department of Transportation in both Nevada and Texas for many years.

He is preceded in death by his father, John C. Murray.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Locke Murray; his mother, Shirley Murray; his children, Brad Murray and wife Tabitha, Bobby Murray and wife Staci, Katie Murray, Kelsey Carter and husband Adam, Kelli Murray, Kristen Evilsizer, as well as his grandchildren, Brandon, Byron, Tenlee, Ty, Elliot, Ruger, Tommy, Makinzey, True, Kaydence, Maxwell, Bristol, Hensley, Jocelyn, Kylee and Kyle.

Pat was well loved in life and will be well loved in death. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers honoring Pat: Brad Murray, Bobby Murray, Duffy Otteson, Sterlynn Otteson, Mitchell Ames and Adam Carter.
