Patsy Ruth (Stephens) Gordon

Patsy Ruth Gordon, age 79 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 in Lumberton, Texas. Services to honor Patsy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Bickham and Rev. Phil Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Deweyville Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for a visitation on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Patsy was born in Orange, Texas on September 14, 1940 to Ruth Brister Stephens and Edgar Stephens. She graduated from LCM in 1959 and was the homecoming queen her senior year. Patsy was also a twirler and played basketball. She retired after 30 years of taking care of others as a LVN in the Orange area. She had a wonderful gift of being able to care for the elderly. Patsy enjoyed dancing and was a true Dallas Cowboy fan. She loved going on camping trips with her family, but her heart was most complete with a house full of family that she loved so much.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ezra Lee Gordon, Jr., parents Edgar and Ruth Stephens, son Shane Jones and brother, Edgar Stephens, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Shon Jones and his wife Sarah of Mt. Judea, AR, Chandra Allen and her husband David of Port Neches, TX, Sheenah Gordon of Orange, TX, Laurie Sills and her husband Ronald of Lumberton, TX and Liz Owens and her husband Gregory of Austin, TX, brother Bobby Stephens and his wife June of Bridge City, TX and sister Chris Wills and her husband Wayne of Deweyville, TX, seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers honoring Patsy are Sasha Milligan, Jadin Meads, Kade Allen, LoganSills, James Sills, Luke Jones, Jake Jones and Dustin Sills.
