Peggy Joyce Perry, 84, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in Silsbee, Texas. Services to honor Peggy will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Interment will immediately follow, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Peggy was born on Sunday, July 25, 1937, in Orange, Texas, to parents Sam and Aline (Siau) Trussell. She was a lifelong resident of southeast Texas, and attended church at the First Baptist Church, in Mauriceville. Peggy held an Associate's degree and worked as a secretary, for the Little Cypress-Mauriceville school district. She was a sweet and gentle woman, with a kind heart. Peggy was a master gardener and enjoyed staying busy. Most of all, Peggy loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Peggy in death are her husband, Alvin Perry, her parents, Sam and Aline Trussell and sister Doris Trussell Davidson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister Annette Trussell Gomez, son Alvin Perry, Jr. and his wife Sheryl, of Mauriceville, TX, daughter, Susan Bryant and her husband James, of Tomball, TX, grandchildren; Emily Johnson and her husband Shea, Julie Jones and her husband B.J., Abby Bryant and her husband John Williford, J.R. Bryant and his wife Racheal, and Hannah Bryant and her husband Stephen Linn; Great-grandchildren, Tyler Burris, Hayden Jones, Brystol Jones, Trace Johnson, Tripp Johnson, Henry Bryant Williford, Chloe Linn, Lilian Linn, Ema Stewart, and one more Baby Bryant on the way; and numerous members of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers to honor Peggy will be J.R. Bryant, John Williford, Shea Johnson, Dicky Perry, James Bryant, and B.J. Jones.
