Ramiro Flores Garza

Ramiro Flores Garza, age 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Funeral services will be held at Dorman Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Barry Bradley officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Dorman Funeral Home.

Ramiro was born on Sunday, February 26, 1939, in Los Colorados, Mexico to parents, Dora (Flores) and Fransisco Garza. He had been a lifetime resident of Orange, Texas after moving from Sabinas, Mexico 55 years ago. Ramiro was a very hard worker and wonderful provider for his family. He met the love of his life when he came to know Rosa (Gonzalez). The couple was married in 1958 and enjoyed 60 blissful years together. Rosa and Ramiro had five sons and one daughter and all six of them brought them lots of joy and happiness. He was a hard worker and instilled the same values in his children. Ramiro traveled to many places working in New York, California and Alaska and settling in Texas. He was known to be a perfectionist about many aspects of his life and particularly his yard that he liked to keep manicured to perfection. Ramiro enjoyed going to the casinos with his wife, as they usually always brought the luck with them and won something whether it be the slot machines or the door prize drawings. It was always very important to Ramiro that on Sunday's the Garza family got together and barbequed sharing lots of love, laughter, stories and good food. He was always smiling and loving every minute of his full and wonderful life. Ramiro was a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Ramiro is preceded in death by his son, Frank Javier Garza, SR.; parents, Dora and Francisco Garza and sister, Nerida Chapa.

Ramiro is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosa; children, Ramiro II and wife Francisca, Ray and wife Cheryl, Sergio and Nancy Blanchard, Rosemary Bishop and Fiancé Brandon and Jimmy; brothers, Paco Garza and wife Tati, Leonel Garza and wife Mary; sister, Orelia Santos and husband Rogelio; grandchildren, Ramiro III, Seth, Gina Falcon, Anthony, Adam, Frank Javier, JR., Josh, Jake, Marisa, Jocelyn and Gabriel; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Faith, Michael, Audrina, Dominic, Adeline and Mia.

Pallbearers honoring Ramiro are his grandchildren, Seth, Anthony, Adam, Gabriel, Frank, Josh, Jake and Ramiro III.
