Michael Clement Hatch, age 74 of West Orange, Texas passed away at home on Thursday March 24, 2022. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bridge City United Pentecostal Church on Saturday April 9th, 2022 at 2pm. Rev. Murray Ray will officiate. Dorman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care and arrangements.
Michael was born in Akron, Ohio to parents Lerleen Marden Hatch and Mildred(Runge)Hatch. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force special security police. Michael studied at both Akron University and Lamar University. He received both Dean’s List and President’s List honors, and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa society. Michael had a special gift of taking care of those in need- both medically and spiritually. He retired after 18 years as a nurse at Christus St. Mary’s hospital, and many years as a United Pentecostal minister.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marden and Mildred Hatch and grandson Kahea Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Vicki Ann Hatch of West Orange, TX; their two children Michael (Ginger) Hatch of Vero Beach, FL and Christina (Justin) Smith of Hilo, HI; five grandchildren Chaz Thibodeaux, Ty Lane Hatch, Keeli Jade Smith, Zyrie Smith & Justis Smith; as well as his three sisters Marlene Cree, Marti (Gary) Kaiser & Millisa (Joe) Vega.
