Richard "Ricky" O'Neal Harveston, Jr.

   Richard "Ricky" O'Neal Harveston, Jr. age 59 of Orange, Texas, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Monday, June 4, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Services to honor Ricky's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 9. 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family will gather beginning at 4:00 PM with friends to follow from 5:00-9:00 PM for visitation on Friday, June 8, 2018.
   Ricky was born on June 23, 1958 in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Beatrice Betty Ann Lester Harveston and Richard O'Neal Harveston, Sr. Ricky had been a resident of the Orange area since 1994 and retired from Firestone Polymers as a maintenance mechanic. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved  fishing and hunting. Ricky enjoyed fast cars and playing in the mud, but his grandchildren were his absolute world. Ricky loved to entertain his family and friends whenever he had a chance. He also had a way of bringing out laughter and smiles from his family and friends with his humor and charm.
   He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brandy Harveston, two brothers Steve Case and Roger Harveston, and infant sister Angela Harveston.
   Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eileen Harveston of Orange, TX, daughters Crystal Harveston of Monticello, MS and Ashley Harveston of Jackson, MS, three step children; Daniel Peet and his wife Lauren of Orange, TX, Leslie Call and her husband Brent of Navasota, TX and Mayzee Plymale and her husband Shawn of Orange, TX, three brothers; Terry Dale Johnson and his wife Kari of Jayess, MS, Danny Harveston and his wife Patsy of Wesson, MS, and Luke Harveston of Parchman, MS, two sisters Brenda Gay Harveston Bennett of Monticello, MS, and Tina Harveston Russell and husband Tim of Monticello, MS. As well as 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
