Rita Darlene (Quast) Armstreet

Rita Darlene Armstreet, age 63 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas. Services to honor Rita will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Inman officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Rita was born in Houston, Texas on October 13, 1958 to parents, Joy Billings Quast and Howard Quast. The family moved to Orange, when Rita was a child and has been their home ever since. Rita and Darrel married on August 4, 1979 and spent 42 years of devoted marriage together. Rita found her true calling as “Mom” and she dedicated her life to raising her two boys, Brian and Casey. That same love and dedication was given by “MiMi” to her 5 grandchildren whom she adored.

Rita spent many days fishing and enjoying the outdoors with Darrel early in their marriage. Lately they’ve been enjoying playing with their new dog Jasper. She loved her full day shopping trips with her best friend, Becky Francis. Those close to Rita never doubted her unwavering love.  She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.

Rita was a member of Grace Point at Eagle Heights Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Joy Quast and father-in-law, James Armstreet.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Darrel Armstreet of Orange, TX, her two sons, Brian Armstreet and his wife Cassey of Orange, TX and Casey Armstreet of Orange, TX, brothers, Pete Quast and his wife Pam of Orange, TX and Steve Quast and his wife Charlise of Vidor, TX, sister Donna Wright and her husband David of Wimberley, TX, five grandchildren; Gracie Armstreet, Elizabeth Armstreet, Jonah Armstreet, Amelia Armstreet and Scarlett Armstreet, mother-in-law Ruth Armstreet, the family dog Jasper and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Pallbearers to honor Rita will be Steve Quast, Pete Quast, David Wright, Jacob Quast, Aaron Welch and Chris Deason.
