Robert Cloud Obituary

Robert Jay Cloud, 54, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020, in Beaumont, Texas.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, on Monday, November 2, 2020; Fr. Sinclair of St. Francis of Assisi officiating.  Rite of Committal will follow, at St. Mary Cemetery.  Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Dorman Funeral Home.

Robert was born in Groves, Texas, on Wednesday, November 10, 1965, to Frances (LaBry) and Bobby Cloud.  Robert grew up in Deweyville, Texas, and graduated from Deweyville High School; Class of ’84.  Robert worked as a Process Operator and retired from Temple Inland.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Robert was also a huge sports fan and especially enjoyed Oklahoma University College Football and the Dallas Cowboys.  He could usually be found in the woods coon hunting, with his son and favorite dog, or in the stands watching his children, grandchildren, and nephews playing sports.  More often than not, you would catch him driving around in ‘Ol Red’, with his dog Tickle.  Robert was a thoughtful son, loving fiancé, proud father, caring grandfather, devoted brother, incredible uncle, and loyal friend.

Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his parents, Bobby and Frances Cloud, of Hemphill, Texas, fiancé, Stacey Duggan, of Beaumont, Texas, daughter, Tara Arena and wife, Tiffany, of Beaumont, Texas, son, Kevin Cloud and wife, Brittany, of Orange, Texas, grandchildren, Makenzi Cloud, Tanner Cloud, and Mason Arena, sister, Shannon Cloud, of Starks, Louisiana, nephews, Matthew Pevoto and Dalton Pevoto, numerous members of extended family, and his many friends.

Preceding Robert in death are his grandparents, Clifford and Lessie Cloud, of Hemphill, Texas, and Ivy and Beatrice LaBry, of Orange, Texas.

Honoring Robert as Pallbearers will be Kevin Cloud, Tanner Cloud, Dalton Pevoto, Tom Rooney, Bob Buxton, and Mucho Ellis.  Serving as Honorary Pallbearer is Matthew Pevoto.
