Robert “Bob” Montgomery Jackson, III, age 81 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Beaumont, Texas. A memorial service to honor Bob’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Bob was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Lois Beryl Barnett Jackson and Robert Montgomery Jackson, Jr. on December 28, 1938. He retired from Big Tex Air-conditioning in Houston after many years of being a faithful employee. Bob had a wonderful gift of being able to work with his hands and spent countless hours woodworking. He was able to build his own house and make many wonderful things for family and friends. Bob was a huge John Wayne fan, enjoyed guns and loved to go hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Montgomery Jackson, Jr. and Lois Dickey, his brother Ulen Jackson and son-in-laws, Bert Overman and Ricky Harveston.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixteen years, Ester Jackson of Orange, TX, three daughters; Nikki Jay and her husband Joey of Mauriceville, TX, Eileen Jackson Harveston of Orange, TX and Bobbi Jackson Deuley and her husband Scott Armel of Porter, TX, sister Marlynne Emerson and husband JR of Orange, TX, Sister-in-law Wanda Jackson, eight grandchildren; Sam Dougharty, Mandy Jay, Justin Dougharty, Daniel Peet, Leslie Call, Mayzee Plymale, Amber Deuley and Nolan Deuley, eighteen great grandchildren with one more to arrive in December, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
