Ruby Woodard

Ruby Mae Woodard, age 83 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 in Port Arthur, Texas. A graveside service to honor Ruby’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Trout Creek Cemetery with Rev. Damon Bickham officiating. Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Ruby was born on March 20, 1937 in the Belgrade area of Newton County, Texas to Edna Cochran Woodard and Amidee Woodard. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Ruby loved spending time with her family, especially her twin sister Ruth. She was the best sister in the whole world that will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Amidee and Edna Woddard and brothers; Jimmie Woodard Jerry Woodard and Henry Woodard.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Ruth Green of Deweyville, TX and Wanda Stanley and her husband Verbel of Starks, LA, a brother Steve Woodard of Orange, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers to honor Ruby will be Allen Green, Loren Green, Casey Godeaux, Shaun Smith, Ronnie Cockran and Austin Jolley. Honorary pallbearers, Judd Tynes, Gauge Tynes, Case Tynes and special great niece Kinsleigh Jolly.
