Sherman Davis Harmon, 98, of Missouri City, died Tuesday December 3, 2019 in Sugar Land. Beloved husband, Dad, Daddy, Poppy, Broussard, brother, uncle, Boo-Boo, Uncle Boo-Boo, "Sherm", Daddy-Daddy, and friend to many, Sherman was born to Sely Davis and Addie Bell Gilmore Gibson Harmon in Alford, Florida October 7, 1921. He became a resident of Orange in 1950.
Immediate family and closest friends said graveside goodbyes December 9 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Sherman served his country honorably in World War II and the Korean War. He was perhaps best known and loved for his proprietorship of Cherry's Club in Orange. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy Lucille Bailey Harmon, son David Morris Harmon, and various and sundry siblings, nieces, nephews, dogs, and granddogs. Survivors include daughter Tari Ann Couvillion, Missouri City, son Daryl Harmon, Dallas, and sister Mary Nell Abbott, Pensacola, Florida.
