Sue Reedy Thomas

Sue Reedy Thomas, age 87, of Orange, Texas, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, November 16, 2023.  Services to honor Sue will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Dorman Funeral Home.  Rite of committal and interment will immediately follow, at Granger Cemetery.  Visitation of family and friends will be held one hour prior to services, at Dorman Funeral Home.

Sue was born on Friday, September 4, 1936 in Shelbyville, Texas, to proud parents Craven and Kate Reedy.  She was a graduate of Stark High School.  After school, Sue married Roy Thomas and together they gave life to four amazing men: Ronald, Richard, Mark and Michael Thomas.  All of which she was proud of and loved with her whole heart.  She got to watch her boys grow and have families of their own.  Sue worked as a dispatcher for Transit-Mix for over 25 years from where she retired.  She enjoyed dancing to Cajun music, watching her soap opera shows and watching wrestling.  She also loved spending time with all of her family.  She leaves behind a great legacy of family.

Preceding Sue in death are her parents, Craven W. Reedy and Kate E. Cannon Reedy; brother, Thomas Reedy and wife; sisters, Billye Jac Byers and husband, and Geraldine Barber and husband; son, Mark Alan Thomas Sr., and grandson, Grayson Allan Guillory.

Those left to cherish her memory are Ronald Patrick Thomas Sr. and wife, Wanda, Richard "Boyd" Thomas and wife, Debra, Michael Roy Thomas, Sr. and wife, Emily; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and many members of extended family, and friends.  

Those honoring Sue as pallbearers are Ronald Thomas Sr., Patrick Thomas Jr., Mike Thomas Sr,. Michael R. Thomas Jr., James Allen Thomas, and Randy R. Guillory.
