Thomas Lee Hutson

Thomas Lee Hutson, a native of Hartburg, was born February 12, 1950 to Virgil and Ruth Hutson; the youngest of 4 children.  He went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2019.  He retired from Sabine River & Northern Railroad as an engineer.  He married the love of his life, Sharon Sims, on March 12, 1970; they enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage.  He loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and watching football.  He was a role model to everyone; instilling respect, honesty, and love.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ruth Hutson; and a sister, Carolyn Buntyn.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Sharon Hutson; children, Tracy Lafleur, and husband, David, of Hartburg, Brad Hutson, of Hartburg, Kevin Hutson, of Hartburg, Denise Smith and Todd Barks, of Starks; grandchildren, Dale Barlow, Kyrstan Barlow, Taylar May, Julissa Lafleur, Julianna Lafleur, Allison Lafleur, Dylan Smith, Hannah Smith, Rayleigh Smith, McKinna Hutson, Jaxson Hutson, Lenzi Hutson, Lezlee Hutson, Zackery Hutson, as well as step grandchildren; great grandchild, Thomas McCurry;  a sister, Patsy Ledoux; a brother, William Lloyd Hutson; as well as many family friends who all knew him as Papa Tom.
