Tony Leon Perkins

Tony Leon Perkins, 57, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Funeral services to honor Tony will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home; Rev. Damon Bickham, of First Baptist Church-Deweyville, officiating. Interment will follow services, at 3:00 PM, at Trout Creek Cemetery.  Visitation of family and friends will be held one hour prior to services, at Dorman Funeral Home.

On Wednesday, September 29, 1965, Tony was born in Orange, Texas, to Betty Lee (McCollough) and Vervul Perkins. Tony was a Christian man of the Baptist faith.  He worked for many years as a skilled carpenter and electrician. Tony had a deep love for traveling and was known to have travelled coast to coast, throughout the United States. Tony also enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Betty Wakefield, of Orange, Texas; step-brothers, Johnny Perkins, of Orange, Texas, and Jason Tollett, of Arkansas; sisters, Donna Wilford, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Tammy Nichols, of Buna, Texas; step-sisters, Rebecca Dunigan, of Orange, Texas, and Melissa Willis, of Dequincy, Louisiana; and numerous members of extended family and friends.

Honoring Tony as pallbearers are his Christian Brothers, from First Baptist Church-Deweyville.
